Genetically Modified Organisms

All research and teaching activities involving genetically modified organisms (GMOs) must receive safety approval prior to commencing.  Safety Clearance Application Forms are processed by the Health & Safety Team. Those activities involving work with GMOs are assessed by the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) prior to the application being approved.
