Meet our Staff

Program Manager:  Melissa Moore (B. Econ)

Melissa has worked at university for 9 years, most of this time as a Careers Counsellor.  Her current job shared role of Manager of the Student Experience and Transition team provides her with oversight of the Student Mentoring program.

Our team goal is to help students make a smooth transition to university life and to improve their experience while they are with us.

Mel was the first person from her family to come to university and found the whole thing quite challenging! Luckily for her she found a way through and is now excited to be in a position to help others.

Program Coordinator:  Katrina Kellett (B. Bus, JP)

Katrina started working at the university in 2007 and has over a decade of experience in mentoring young adults.  An inquisitive nature has led Katrina on a number of aid pilgrimages and cultural tours through her teenage years and early twenties to countries such as Japan, France, Egypt and the Philippines.

Katrina regularly volunteers her time to different causes and has ended up in some unusual places as a result.  “I volunteered to pick up rubbish at the East Coast Blues and Roots music festival,” she laughs, “but I ended up in a paid position backstage with the artists!”

Originally from a rural area, Katrina is passionate about providing new students with the keys to unlock the mysteries of their new environment and have a little fun along the way.
