University of Newcastle Bicycle User's Group

The University of Newcastle Bicycle User's Group (BUG) is a cycling advocacy group, which seeks to promote cycling for fun, sport and transport.

By broadly representing students and staff who ride to university, we aim to encourage the University of Newcastle, RailCorp, the Roads and Traffice Authority and Newcastle City Council to provide more infrastructure to support cycling, and make it safer and more convenient way to commute and stay healthy.

By putting more commuters on bikes, we hope to ease parking, road safety, obesity and pollution problems created by cars.

The University of Newcastle Bicycle User's Group (BUG)  website is http://nubug.org  In order to join, interested people can email their full names and student numbers, to thomas.marshall@uon.edu.au
