Dr Brendan Boyle

Biography

Before joining Newcastle Business School, Brendan lectured for University College Dublin, Ireland; Centro de Estudios Superiores Universitarios de Galicia, Spain; and the University of Sydney, Australia. Brendan has a Masters in Business Studies degree from University College Dublin, Ireland and he completed his PhD with the Discipline of International Business at the University of Sydney, Australia. Brendan is also a graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in the United Kingdom, which is a professional body for those involved in management development. Brendan's research interests include the areas of international human resource management, the management of multinational corporations and international business strategy. Brendan is currently involved in two international research projects. One of these projects examines the restructuring of multinational companies and the other focuses on the human resource management practice of multinational companies. Combined, these collaborative research projects involve partnerships between Newcastle Business School and universities in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia.
