2010 Hosseini Faradonbeh Seyed Abdolhamed, Alternative Globalizations: An Integrative Approach to Studying Dissident Knowledge in the Global Justice Movement, Routledge, Abingdon, UK, 288 (2010) [A1]

The book contributes to a series edited by Prof. Barry Gills; the series is designed to break new ground in the literature on globalization and its academic and popular understanding. Drawing on a variety of disciplines, this ground breaking volume will be of interest to students and scholars of global studies, political sciences, sociology and social movement studies. The book explores the formation and transformation of ideas, identities, and solidarities in the global opposition to the corporate-led globalization and its ideological basis, neo-liberalism. The book examines the capacity of the movement for developing alternative ideas, identities, solidarities, and rationalities. It is of interest to students and scholars of global and international studies, international relations, sociology, political sciences, social psychology, as well as courses on particular themes such as globalization, global social movements, and global consciousness. The importance and originality of the book is reflected in the reviewers assessment of its initial manuscript and proposal: This must be considered as a monograph but it does not, as such, confine itself to researchers and teachers. Although a theoretical work about ideas it is written in clear language, well structured, and should therefore be accessible to at least advanced students, as well as to interested intellectuals in and around the movements under consideration. The work is original in its address to the ideas of the movement(s), as well as in its own theoretical approach..A brilliant and path breaking work. Should be appropriately puffed, promoted and launched. It will do the series and publisher credit. The other reviewer: it is mainly an important text, as I said, for theory development both in transnational social movement theory, and social theory.... author has summarized his theoretical contribution very well, as well as citing the literature..."

2006 HOSSEINI S A, 'Beyond Practical Dilemmas and Conceptual Reductionism: The Emergence of an Accommodative Consciousness in the Alternative Globalization Movement', Portal: journal of multidisciplinary international studies, 3 1-180 (2006) [C1]

Published in an A Journal (ranked by ERA), the paper attempts to show the emergence of a new ideological trend within the global field of resistance against the corporate-led globalization. It has significantly contributed into the studies of social movements by inventing new sociological concepts and exploring new ideological trends in the anti-globalization movement; although this is published prior to my appointment during my PhD research, the article is one of my best contributions to this newly growing area of study and simply shows my capacity to publish my works in A Journals.
