Biography

Richard worked in a range of operations, logistics and transport management roles for 13 years in Africa and the United Kingdom before beginning an academic career in 2002 at the University of Plymouth in England. Richard has lectured at the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane and is currently at the Newcastle Business School in Australia. He has undertaken and published research in logistics for disaster relief, humanitarian logistics and disaster management in respected, refereed international journals. Richard is a member of the editorial advisory board of the Journal of Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
