A/Prof. Steven Weller

Biography

I was born in Sydney, Australia, in 1965. I received the B.E. (Hons I) degree in Computer Engineering in 1988, the M.E. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1992, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1994, all from the University of Newcastle, Australia. From April 1994 to July 1997 I was a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and was a member of the Centre for Sensor Signal and Information Processing (CSSIP).

In July 1997 I joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Newcastle, Australia as a Senior Lecturer. Since January 2007 I have been an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. From 2007-2009 I served as Head of School, School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Newcastle. I am a member of the Signal Processing Microelectronics (SPM) research group.
