Biography
Tiffany Tsao received her PhD in English from the University of California, Berkeley in 2009. She was employed at a postdoctoral fellow at the Georgia Institute of Technology for one year before moving to Australia in 2011, where she was granted an honorary associateship in the Indonesian Studies Department at the University of Sydney. Currently a lecturer in the School of Humanities and Social Science at Newcastle, her research engages with both Indonesian and English literary texts.

My work so far has focused primarily on colonial naturalist texts on the Indonesian archipelago and on contemporary Indonesian literature.
I am currently engaged in research on contemporary literature in the province of East Kalimantan in Indonesia.
