Market Research Analysts determine the market for new products, develop advertising strategies and evaluate the best business sites for various types of commercial enterprises. For some positions marketing, statistics, or business related degrees are necessary, as well as having an understanding of project management and analytics via either work experience or your university studies. However, having a strong background in understanding how communities work and their social structure is beneficial. Market Research Analysts need to be committed, highly driven, have excellent communication and presentation skills and have knowledge of computer systems.

Market Research Analysts research potential demand and market characteristics, analyse populations, consumer patterns, current and future consumer trends and new product development, help compose advertising campaigns, and liaise with clients. The role also includes tasks such as data analysis, management and collection, quantitative and market research, project management, dealing and negotiating with internal, external company members, market research companies and suppliers and presenting marketing strategies and packages.
