Medical technicians operate and maintain a variety of medical equipment, and, depending on the career path of the individual, may be involved with cardiovascular, emergency, or radiography equipment. Medical technicians may also assist in laboratory testing, such as preparing examination samples and equipment, and may also be responsible for prescription referrals and preparations. Depending at which level you are or if you would like to become a specialised technician, the education requirements usually vary from Advanced Diplomas to Post Graduate Qualifications. To be successful in this role you need to be able to get along with patients, be able to work under pressure, and maintain high levels of quality and control.
