Teaching and Learning Grants, Awards & Fellowships
Establishment of the Office of Learning and Teaching (OLT)
The Office of Learning and Teaching, an initiative of the Federal Government following the closure of the Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC), was established in November 2011 to support learning and teaching in higher education. This Office is situated within the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education. The Australian Government has made a $50.1m funding commitment over four years. This commitment consists of a suite of grants, fellowships, awards and networks, and takes advantage of the significant progress and achievements of the ALTC.
Staff at the University of Newcastle may apply for various types of teaching and learning awards, fellowships and grants.
