About video conferencing

Update

Video conference technology is continually evolving as a leading communication medium with release of new systems happening almost on an annual basis. Teaching Spaces Support has implemented a video conference technology system that is capable of recording, archiving and/or streaming live video conference sessions.

Content Server is a Tandberg innovation that allows users to record their video conference session, including all presentation material being displayed. For example, lectures can be recorded and a link can be placed in Blackboard for students to view the recorded session at any time.

Web conferencing is a new feature that will be available soon. This allows video conference sessions, via the web, to be set up on your local PC or laptop, and will operate from anywhere that has reasonable web access.

These facilities will be administered by Teaching Spaces Support and will be available to all University staff to support teaching applications and University related business. Further details will be posted as they become available.
