Plans and Reports
The University of Newcastle has a range of policies and plans that reflects and celebrates diversity, practices affirmative action and offers equal opportunity.
The 2012-2015 Equity & Diversity Management Plan facilitates the identification and removal of systemic barriers to the participation and promotion in employment of equity groups, including:
- Aboriginal &/or Torres Strait Islander people
- People with a disability
- People requiring a workplace adjustment
- People from racial, ethnic and ethno-religious minority groups
- People whose language first spoken as a child was not English
