Fitness Passport
The Fitness Passport offers staff and their families the opportunity to access any of a wide range of sports and gym facilities and pools from the Central Coast to north of Newcastle. No matter whether you signed up at Callaghan or Ourimbah or at any other campus, all gyms and pools on the list below are open to you and your families.
The Fitness Passport is a popular and important way to keep active wherever you are!
We are excited to announce that membership is now available to University of Newcastle (Sydney Campus) staff with a range of facilities available across the wider Sydney area.

Membership of Fitness Passport
Membership is open to:
- staff who are either continuing or on a fixed term contract with at least 52 weeks remaining on their contract.
- staff, employed at the time of joining on any of a wide range of work contracts, who are concurrent holders of RHD scholarships with 14 or more months remaining.
Membership payments are by direct debit and registration is done easily online
What are the fees?

$8.45 per week Individual membership

$13.95 per week Family membership including dependant children under 18 years

$8.45 per week for dependent child aged 18-24 (in addition to either the single or family membership above)
Fees are quoted as at 1 March 2013.

* To use an Anytime facility you must purchase an electronic key from them direct which will allow you to access the club 24/7.
**There is a one-off $25 admin fee payable to Balance (for those who have never been a member of Balance) which allows you to then access all 4 Balance sites.
*** Curves will not cost anything the first time you go. If you wish to continue using Curves though it is mandatory to sign up to their training and support program which will give you access to weigh-ins and one on one training.

Fitness Passport members now have access to My First Balance (MFB) at City Balance, Hunter St. MFB caters for kids from the ages of 5 to 12 and the classes provide for fun indoor activities Bring this completed questionnaire about your child's health and fitness.
Jittabugs classes at Mayfield are also now included. Jittabugs classes are for 2-5 year olds. Activities include using parachutes, balls, scarves and obstacle courses. Great fun!
Did you know that you can use the crèche before and after swimming lessons at Mayfield Balance for only $4.50 (crèche price)?

Meals By Mel is a website that designs you a healthy and easy dinner plan each week. There is a strong focus on using fresh natural ingredients and each meal comes with a nutritional analysis so you know exactly what it consists of.
To join up to Meals by Mel you need to go to www.mealsbymel.com.au ( http://www.mealsbymel.com.au/ )and click on the Contact Mel link and follow the prompts. You will need to quote your Fitness Passport membership number. Alternatively you can email Mel direct on mel@mealsbymel.com.auand quote your Fitness Passport membership number to request membership.
