Ongoing Full-time
Ongoing Part-time Staff where fraction is 0.5 or greater

The requirement to contribute to an approved superannuation scheme is compulsory.  You will be required to join UniSuper Limited and contribute at the rate of 7% of salary. A generous employer contribution of 17% of salary is provided under this scheme and additional voluntary contributions can be made either pre or post tax. 

You are required to complete the Membership Application form contained in the relevant  Product Disclosure Statement available at http://www.unisuper.com.au/forms-and-documents/product-disclosure-statements.  Please note that commencement of salary payments cannot occur until the completed Application Form is returned to Human Resource Services.


Ongoing Part-time where fraction is greater than 0.2 and below 0.5

The requirement to contribute to UniSuper is not compulsory, however is available as you may elect to join UniSuper Limited as a full member as outlined above.

Should you not wish to become a full member of UniSuper, then Superannuation Guarantee employer payments will be made to UniSuper on your behalf.  You are under no obligation to make personal contributions, however voluntary contributions can be made either pre or post tax.

Superannuation Guarantee employer payments to each eligible employee will be made to UniSuper on your behalf.  You are under no obligation to make personal contributions, however voluntary contributions can be made either pre or post tax.

Period of employment is more than 2 years where fraction is 0.5 or more
