Facilities Management is responsible for the operation of mail and courier services within the University. Services offered include management of internal and external mail, international and domestic courier services, reply paid services and limited mail consumables.

Internal Mail

Internal mail is delivered and collected twice daily to most areas at Callaghan and once daily at Ourimbah.

There are no special requirements or paperwork needed for the transfer of internal mail throughout the University. To ensure items are delivered promptly and correctly, it is advisable for items to be clearly addressed in the following manner:

  • Full Name
  • Department/School/Faculty
  • Building level
  • Campus

External Mail

External mail is delivered and collected once daily to all areas on each campus. All external postage must be prepared and placed in the plastic tubs, satchels or bags provided in order for it to be processed. Postage not prepared in this way will not be collected by mailroom staff.

Pick Up of Bulk Mail

To assist in ensuring that all mail is processed on the same day, it would be appreciated if Faculties, Schools and Departments notify the Campus mailroom when preparing a large mail out. If an urgent mail out is required, every effort will be made to ensure it is processed and dispatched on the same day.
