Living on campus
Living on campus is not only about making new friends and having loads of fun. It also provides easy access to all the health, counseling, sporting, library and academic facilities that Uni has to offer.
Best of all, it will take you only a few minutes to roll out of bed and get to class.
There are four colleges on the Newcastle campus to choose from, and one college on the Central Coast campus. You will need to do some research and pick the one that’s right for you, with each providing different food and living options.
As well as all the social stuff, there is plenty of academic and personal support if you need it.
Further information on the colleges can be found within each of the college’s individual websites.
The demand for on-campus accommodation is high, so you need to apply early.

Living off campus
If you have a few friends going to the same campus, you may think about living off campus and renting a unit, apartment or house. The accommodation service has a database of current accommodation options to help get you started.

FYI
As a student, you will find that money is tight. Save money on food by buying things like rice, fresh fruit and veg, and eating lots of pasta!
